Repsol Contracts Firm Capacity on Maritimes and Northeast Pipeline

Besides contracting 100% of the capacity in the Canaport™ LNG facility, Repsol has contracted 100% of the firm capacity of Brunswick Pipeline, which connects Canaport LNG facility to Maritimes & Northeast Pipeline.

In the USA, Repsol has contracted firm capacity on Maritimes and Northeast Pipeline to provide 730,000 decatherms per day into Algonquin Gas Transmission at Beverly, MA, and into Tennessee Gas Pipeline at Dracut, MA.

Repsol Announces Canaport LNG Terminal to Begin Operations at New York News Conference

New York, NY, June 18, 2009 - The Canaport LNG terminal will receive its first shipment of liquefied natural gas (LNG) early next week, marking the entry of Repsol (NYSE: REP) into the North American natural gas market. The terminal is the first of its kind to be built on the east coast of North America in 30 years and the first ever to be built in Canada.

Canaport™ LNG Facility to Begin LNG Delivery First Half of 2009

Repsol YPF is constructing a state-of-the-art liquefied natural gas (LNG) receiving and regasification terminal in Saint John, New Brunswick.

Repsol will supply natural gas to Canadian and US markets. Repsol Energy Canada holds 100% of the regas capacity and Repsol Energy North America will be marketing the re-gasified LNG in the US Northeast market.

The facility will begin operations in 2009, becoming the first LNG regasification plant in Canada.

First LNG cargo Shipment Arrives at Canaport LNG

Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada; June 27, 2009 – The giant liquefied natural gas (LNG) tanker, Bilbao Knutsen, loaded with 3 Billion cubic feet (Bcf) (natural gas equivalent) of LNG from Trinidad and Tobago, arrived today at the just-completed Canaport LNG terminal in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada to unload the facility’s first shipment of LNG.
